Newport Copper High Top Post Cap for 4x4 or 6x6 Wood Post

Newport Cedar Post Cap with copper top is designed to slip over standard 4x4 or 6x6 wood posts. Finely crafted with a classic touch to enhance your deck, fence, gate or mail posts. Protects the tops of your wood posts, while adding a a beautiful, natural finishing touch.

Available in 2 sizes: Measure the length and width of your post for the best fit.

• For 4x4 Wood Post: This cap is designed to fit over a nominal 4x4 wood post. Actual post measurement 3-1/2" Square. Opening measures 3-5/8" square. 
• For 6x6 Wood Post: This cap is designed to fit over a nominal 6x6 wood post. Actual post measurement 5-1/2" Square. Opening measures 5-5/8" square. 

Easy to Install:  Slips over the top of your post. See manufacturer's instructions below. Additional care and maintenance instructions will be included with your caps.

• To attach each post cap style to the post, apply an exterior-grade silicone adhesive to the underside of the post cap and place firmly on the post
• As with all wood products, we recommend that you coat these with a high-quality exterior finish to preserve the wood’s natural beauty and ensure a lifetime of enjoyment. Apply to all wood areas, including the underside of the cap, before installation.
• *Note for Copper Plated Caps: Like true copper, the copper plating will naturally patina over time. Use car wax every 3-6 months to maintain the shiny copper appearance. You may also use a clear coat product to restore the shiny finish and prevent the patina process. Caps are powder coated over metal for a lasting finish.
